An eight part Mary Magdalene Seminar exploring Mary Magdalene and the roots of early Christianity through the fourth century through history, texts, and contemplative practice. Reading side by side the Canonical gospels that were collected into the authorized Bible and those texts discovered in Egypt at Nag Hammadi that were cherished by other early Christian communities (later labelled "Gnostic"), we will discover a rich, full and consistent portrait of Mary Magdalene as a spiritual leader and teacher trusted by Jesus to bring forth his message of healing and hope.
